dsm-firmenich is pleased to present the inaugural nutrition research grant awards on Day 1 of the Symposium.
A total of five grants worth EUR50,000 each will be given out to researchers in APAC.
An agile platform to advance nutrition research in the Asia-Pacific region, the program aims to fund academics to progress nutrition research
relevant to diet and health for consumers in the Asia-Pacific region.
In the inaugural round, the topic of focus is “Health from the Gut across the Human Life Span”.
Applicants had to submit ideas that investigate the role of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) or postbiotics, singularly or in combination with probiotics, with the option of including that with other micronutrients, in modulating the gut microbiome and its subsequent impact on improving health status in a target population (i.e. age group, life stages, with existing health issues).
